Japanese juggling ball お手玉

My granny used to make this juggling ball from some spare fabric and azuki beans.
I made 3 balls with the Liberty fabric that was left from my handmade baby quilt.
Once my daughter grabbed them put straight into her mouth. Even though the bag is popped and she accidentally swallow azuki beans, she would be ok. Of course, need to keep eye on her not to be choked!
The sound when the otedama balls are thrown into air is really enjoyable.
